This magnificent Japanese Bronze spelter figure clock has fine detailing and is in excellent condition for its age. The clock is fitted with a brass bezel, domed dial glass, porcelain chapter ring, roman numerals, exposed escapement and black ornate dial hands. Base of the cabinet is fitted with a Sterling Silver gift plaque reading “Presented to Mr. W. Russell, from front of house staff Theater Royal Sydney. 21.3.1914”. It contains an American 8-day Movement that has been cleaned oiled and tested. It strikes on the half hour and hour gong and comes with key and time adjustable pendulum.
